Every hour, the last of the steam locomotives is fired up for the enjoyment of visitors.
This locomotive,
which went into service in 1949, marks the end of one era and the beginning of another:
the age of electrification and of profitability.
In front of this moving steel monster, the visitor will better appreciate the passion that an engine-driver felt for his engine, in an age when he would drive and maintain just the one locomotive, and spend a large part of his life with it!
