SUSTAINABLE HERITAGE
IN HONOR OF THE JEP 2022
For their 39th edition, the European Heritage Days (JEP) will have the theme “Sustainable Heritage”. Created by the Ministry of Culture, this event aims to make cultural and heritage sites accessible to as many people as possible throughout Europe.
SNCF, a major player in national heritage, is committed alongside the Ministry of Culture toraise public awareness of sustainable heritage issues in the context of climate change.
The Cité du Train, SNCF Heritage Museum invites the public to explore and(re)discover its collections from this angleduring the weekend of September 17 and 18, 2022. On the program: discussion time, railway demonstrations, entertainment for young and old...An opportunity for the museum tointroduce the public to the initiatives implemented on a daily basis in favor of sustainable developmentsuch as, for example, eco-grazing.

MEDIATION POINTS
Points of mediation around sustainable heritage at the Cité du Train
Departures at 10:45 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.

Highlighting the theme of the JEP 2022 (sustainable heritage), four mediation points will be offered to the public to discuss heritage and environmental issues.

Throughout the weekend, climb aboard a TGV driving cabin and enjoy comments and anecdotes from former SNCF drivers who are now museum volunteers.

Accompanied by a museum guide, visit the Parcours Spectacle illustrating French railway history through 27 rolling stock exhibited around six emblematic themes.

As part of the 50th anniversary of the Cité du Train, come and imagine the poster for the 60th anniversary of the museum and choose slogan, illustrations, techniques and colors.
The achievements will be kept in order to be valued in 2031. Until then, they will be posted on the museum's website and social networks.

A small electric train on tires and respectful of the environment will invite you to a journey in the middle of the collections. At regular intervals, he travels through the exhibition ofQuays of History.
On theRailway Panorama, outdoor area of the museum, climb aboard the "Mini-Express d'Alsace" for a gentle ride and learn about railway driving in a handcar with our volunteers.

BRICK SHOW
The 4,000,000 LEGO® Bricks Exhibition ' (until November 6, 2022)

It is in a space of 400 m² also offering a breathtaking view of the museum's collections that you can discover impressive animated and static dioramas, LEGO® train sets from the last 40 years as well as various models of French locomotives including the iconic TGV PSE from 1981 in circulation. An organized exhibition in partnership with the German LEGO® fan association "Schwabenstein 2x4 eV"
