THE TRAIN FESTIVAL
La Cité Du Train - Patrimoine SNCF in Mulhouse, and the Thur Doller Alsace Train are celebrating their 50th anniversary as part of a common event, from July 14 to 18, 2021. Five days of walks, meetings and activities to celebrate 50 years of railroad in South Alsace.
Fifty years ago, two entities were born, well known to the railway industry and to the inhabitants of southern Alsace: on the one hand, the French Railway Museum which opened its doors for the first time on June 12, 1971 on the Mulhouse-Nord site. , on the other, the Association of the Tourist and Historical Railway of the Doller Valley with the election of its founding committee on November 6, 1971.
Driven by a common goal - the safeguard of the local and national railway heritage - the two associations have welcomed since their creation several million visitors and travelers.
Long-standing partners, the two associations will therefore be offering a common event during which you will be able to enjoy the circulation of historic rolling stock, at the Cité du Train and on the Cernay line in Sentheim, as well as numerous meetings and activities.
